Today is a great day to enjoy the outdoors - we’re looking at sunshine and we heat up to 90° this afternoon under mostly sunny skies and light winds. Because of these conditions air quality may be an issue later this afternoon. An ozone action day is in effect.
Flood threat tomorrow:
After a two day break, storms roar back Thursday. Similar to our recent storm systems this one brings a high flood threat. The threat is highest for our northern cities but all of us have a least a street flood threat. Right now, estimated rainfall totals are from 1-3″ are possible with higher amounts of 5″-7″ north of I-10.
Severe weather threat tomorrow:
We also have a severe weather threat. Damaging winds and hail are possible for all of SE Texas with the highest threat northwest of Houston. Tornado threat is low but not zero.
10-Day Forecast:
There could be some lingering showers Friday morning. Starting this weekend we head into a much more stable weather pattern that is storm free. But it is also a more summer like pattern with heat and humidity starting this weekend.
