Here’s how hot and humid it’s expected to get in Houston this week

We could see heat alerts by the end of the week

It’s that time of year again where it is buggy, muggy and HOT.... welcome to June! Temperatures are heating up this week to the mid-90s, but it will feel much hotter. A ridge of high pressure building into SE Texas is bringing dry weather, hotter temperatures and a high humidity.

This high pressure system will help us heat up! Temperatures will be in the mid-90s. Tomorrow’s high temperatures will be 93-95.

Not only will we see high heat, but we also will have high humidity. The combination of high heat and humidity produces a heat index value in the triple digits! Tuesday we will feel like the upper-90s to lower triple digits.

This will bring a major risk for heat in the Houston area. As you head to the west it will be an extreme risk. 0

By Wednesday the heat and humidity will be even HIGHER! It will feel like 105+. By this time a heat advisory may need to be issued.

The climate prediction center shows SE Texas warmer than normal through the next two weeks. Keep in mind, we typically are in the lower-90s this time of year.
