Another tropical low is brewing in the Gulf but should stay away from Houston

Sunday’s Forecast:

Sunday is going to be hot and sticky with “feels like” temperatures up to 106. We’re tracking the chance for a few isolated showers develop in the late afternoon and evening.

Feels like the triple digits.
Mostly dry Sunday

If you think it’s hot this weekend, it’s only going to get worse, with expected feels like temperatures of 109 on Wednesday. Drink plenty of water and get into the habit of carrying a water bottle with you at all times.

Tracking The Tropics:

There is a a 40% chance to see another tropical low develop in the Bay of Campeche, similar to the location that Alberto formed.

40% chance of development across the southern Gulf.

This one, we’ll be tracking through the weekend, however, with the strong high pressure centered across the southeast US, it will steer whatever form the storm takes also into Mexico, away from the Texas coastline.

High pressure will steer the deepest tropical moisture away from SE Texas this weekend through next week.
10-Day Forecast:

Rain chances stay minimal this week but temperatures will continue to climb to the upper 90s this week.

Hot and humid with minimal shower chances.
