Take a look below at the rainfall totals around our area:

Almost seven inches of rain fell between Bonney and Manvel, taking the trophy for heaviest rainfall totals. Other surrounding areas saw anywhere from two inches of rainfall to over four inches.

An Areal Flood Advisory remains in effect for portions of Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Harris counties until 11:45 a.m.

Some areas saw upwards to almost 7 inches of rain just south of the city (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

North of the loop, areas saw much less rainfall than areas to the south. The most rainfall fell just east of Kingwood, receiving just under 3.5 inches of rain.

Lighter amounts of rain fell north of the city (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

Anywhere from 2 inches to just over 3 inches of rain fell closer to the coast (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

A look at the Future Track:

We’re not out of the woods just yet. A large area of rain that is currently south of Corpus is slated to sneak north into our area over the next two to six hours. Some storms could produce heavy downpours and frequent lightning, but none of those storms are expected to be severe. With all of the rain we have received already, minor flooding is not out of the question.

Regardless, this could impact the afternoon commute home, causing major delays.
