Tuesday’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – The heat advisory that has been in effect going back to last week, has been updated to an excessive heat warning. Heat index values will go above 112° tomorrow. It’s also in effect longer, lasting through 10pm Tuesday. I’m forecasting a high of 102° which would be the hottest day of the year. Monday we climbed to 101°! That makes Monday the hottest day of the year so far. So far we’ve reached 100° five times this year.
The reason we have an excessive heat warning Tuesday is the heat index is expected to go above 112°.
How much longer?
This incredibly strong ridge of high pressure won’t budge through Thursday. By the time we get to the weekend it weakens and gives us a small chance of storms.
Tracking The Tropics:
No tropical activity is expected in the next 7-days.
10-day Forecast:
We finally have hope at the end of the 10-day. High pressure moves out of the way and rain may move in as we get to the beginning of next week.
