HOUSTON – Friday is our first day since last Friday that our temperatures will be below 100°. We will still be hot in the upper-90s in the afternoon with a heat index of 106°. We also have a chance to get some showers and thunderstorms late morning through the afternoon.
Weekend Forecast:
By the time we get to the weekend, our high-pressure system weakens enough to lower temperatures to the mid-90s. There is also a chance of storms.
Tracking The Tropics:
No tropical activity is expected in the next 7-days in the Atlantic. The next named storm will be Francine, but this is not likely within the next seven days.
10-day Forecast:
Our weather pattern changes next week. Tropical moisture moves in, lowering temperatures and increasing rain chances. Day 10 is the first day of September.
