Toasty Texans Tailgating: Our football forecast is warm, but not as hot as last week

Houston Texans fans tailgate before the Texans play the Kansas City Chiefs in a NFL game on September 13, 2015 at NRG Stadium in Houston.

The Texans picked up a big win against Giants in their preseason game last week, but the forecast felt like a loss. We had heat alerts, and our high temperature hit 100°, making it very uncomfortable for our tailgaters on the concrete.

Saturday at noon, the Texans take on the L.A. Rams, and the forecast should be slightly better. Although it will be hot, we are below the heat advisory criteria. At 9 a.m., we will be in the mid-80s and feeling like the lower-90s.

Temperatures will quickly climb to the lower-90s. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

When the game ends, temperatures across SE Texas will be HOT. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 90s with heat index values between 100° and 105°.

Temperatures will be in the upper-90s. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)
