It’s almost here! The long wait for Houston Texan fans is almost over as the Houston Texans travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.

So, for the traveling Texan horde, the most important question is ...

What’s the weather forecast!?

Here’s the interesting thing: The same cold front that we’ll be finally experiencing on Sunday bringing our first taste of fall will have moved through Indiana a few days prior. As you might guess, fall generally comes earlier for the Midwest than here in the Lone Star State, so Texan fans who have sweated through another typical hot and humid Texas summer will get to watch our Texans with a nice, fall feel to the forecast!

How about some tailgating in the low 60s before the game outside of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy?? Texans’ fans will be able to crack out the late season cold weather Texan gear before and certainly after the game.

What about here at home in Houston?

Don’t worry! The front will have moved through SE Texas on Saturday so by Sunday, we should have plenty of time for the cooler and much drier air to have moved in for your Texan BBQs and backyard tailgates!
