Tonight’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – Tonight we will see cloud cover move in from the Gulf. The cloud cover will help keep our coastal communities more mild overnight with lows only dropping to the mid-to-upper 70s. Locations further inland will have clear skies and temperatures in the lower-70s by Friday morning.
Friday’s Forecast:
Our humidity continues to climb, which means we will have more clouds Friday. Not only will we see cloudy skies but rain chances increase (only 20%). Rain chances are most likely closer to the coast, but it is possible a few showers could drift to the I-10 corridor. The further north you are, the lower the rain chances. Despite the rainfall, highs will still reach the lower-90s.
Saturday’s Rain Chance:
Rain chances look to be the highest on Saturday, but it’s only 30%. The rain chances are mainly for locations along and south of I-10. If you are north of I-10 you likely will remain dry. These are hit or miss showers.
We are not forecasting any severe weather, or any flooding. Rainfall accumulation looks to be up to an inch for our far coastal communities.
Sunday’s Forecast:
The Buffalo Bills come to Houston to play the Texans at NRG on Sunday! Kick-off is at noon, which means nice weather for our loyal tailgaters! Temperatures will be climbing through the 80s. It will be humid, so it you’re curling your hair don’t forget the hairspray!
Tracking the Tropics:
There is a 30% chance that a tropical system develops in the Gulf over the next seven days. At this point it is not looking likely, however, it looks like a major rain maker for Florida.
10-day Forecast:
A cold front moves through on Monday that will drop our highs to the 80s and lows into the lower-60s. No major cold front coming anytime soon, but we’re always watching out for it! Don’t worry, we do expect to cool down eventually this month.
