HOUSTON – A cold front is pushing through SE Texas and bringing a threat for strong to severe storms across the state tonight.
There is a tornado watch for north central Texas (including Dallas and Waco) until 9PM this evening. Our severe weather threat is lower, but we can still see a damaging wind gust as the storms move in overnight.

We have been tracking scattered showers and storms across SE Texas ahead of the front.
Check out our current radar below.
The cold front will move into the area this evening from the NW To the SE.
Along the front we can see some isolated strong storms with frequent lightning strikes and the chance of an isolated damaging wind gust.
The storms will begin to impact our far NW counties as early as 10PM.
The front will advance to the east through the night with storms passing through the Houston metro between 2AM-5AM. These storms can bring frequent lightning strikes, so many might be awakened by thunder early Saturday.
There is a low threat for street flooding as these storms pass through.
Any thunderstorm can quickly drop an inch or more of rainfall.
The storms will be pushing east of Houston by 7AM and will be well to the east of Houston by 9AM Saturday morning.
This means if you wake up late Saturday you’ll likely completely miss the storms!
Storms will all be to our east by Saturday afternoon!
This means we will have a mix of sun and clouds with lower humidity.
Temperatures will be in the 70s with a breeze from the north.
If you take any photos or videos of the storms tonight we’d love to see them! Send them to Click2Pins.
