And while this isn’t complete data since the month of November isn’t officially over, if we keep the current trend, we will end the month - as the hottest on record!
Which brings us to the next question - when will we see more seasonable temperatures in Houston? We’ll get a taste of it on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with seasonable lows in the upper 50s to start our mornings.
But you’ll want to dress in layers, because even though we will start off in the 50s, our highs will be in the upper 70s and 80s this week.
Right now, a high pressure system is blocking the current cold front to the north of us - but once the high-pressure system moves to the east, we have the opportunity to experience fall like temperatures next week. We are finally tracking a real true cold front that would drop our temperatures to the 60s.
So while we have hit the 80s every day in the month of November, thanks to a slight “cold front” Wednesday into Thursday, we will hit the 70s for the first time in November. And if everything holds together with the cold front - we will finally see the 60s in our 10 day forecast. So while we continue to track temperature data for November to determine if 2024 is the hottest fall on record - I think we can all agree - it’s been a hot fall season!
