Is there any chance of snow?

Getting snow in Houston is no small feat, it requires everything in the atmosphere to line up just right. Temperatures need to be at or near freezing, and low-pressure must be perfectly positioned to generate precipitation.

We miss the perfect combination this week, freezing temperatures do not align with precipitation’s arrival. Instead of snow on Thursday and Friday, expect a cold rain as a coastal low spin along the Gulf Coast.

SE Texas will stay warm enough to just see rain, snow chances remain across north Texas.

10-day Forecast:

The one thing I want you to notice is how cold are mornings are Monday through Thursday. Every day is at or below freezing. We won’t be below freezing all day, highs climb to the 40s. All of the arctic air moves out next weekend.

Temperatures warm up next week.
