HOUSTON – Police need the public’s help finding two men they say stole phones and cash from a AT&T store in East Houston. Surveillance cameras inside the store located at 13630 East Freeway caught the whole ordeal.
At first the two men -- who were wearing jeans, black shirts and hats -- looked like customers, but surveillance video shows one of the suspected robbers pull out a gun.
The two men then force the three people in the store into a back room and instructed them to lie face-down on the ground.
One of the men tried to open the safe, but the other man, who had the gun, motioned to one of the employees to unlock it.
The video shows the men remove a box filled with phones and place other items into a white trash bag.
The men made multiple trips to remove the stolen merchandise and on their last trip out they encountered someone who had walked into the store. The video shows them point a gun at the man, talk to him and then let him go. The bystander then runs to the back of the store.
