6-year-old girl killed in Liberty County crash

CLEVELAND, Texas – A 6-year-old girl was killed Wednesday morning in a crash in Liberty County.

The crash was reported about 8 a.m. on County Road 2184, about four miles east of Cleveland.

According to the Texas Highway Patrol, the girl and her mother were in a vehicle traveling west on CR 2184 when the mother lost control and crashed head-on into another vehicle.

Troopers said the girl was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at Cleveland Emergency Hospital.

The girl’s mother and the driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries, troopers said.

No charges have been filed at this time.
