HOUSTON – Hector Arturo Campos is charged with murder in the death of Ana Weed after an alleged ongoing dispute over her dogs, deputies said.
Campos' attorney told KPRC, "Once all of the details of this incident are presented, we are confident he will be exonerated of any wrongdoing."

The shooting happened off Mourning Dove Drive near FM 2920.
Neighbors told KPRC the man and woman, who live next door to each other, had been arguing when the man reportedly kicked the woman’s dogs and pulled out a gun. He fired one shot that proved fatal, police said.
“All we know is the female was shot once in the chest,” said Sgt. Ben Beall, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “We do have a witness to the shooting.”
Her friends said the husband blamed Ana for his wife leaving him. She reportedly helped his wife get back to Mexico to be with her family. The neighbor is also accused of not liking Ana’s dogs.
