GULF OF MEXICO – A helicopter pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in the Gulf of Mexico after the aircraft shuts down.
The pilot was forced to land on the Gulf of Mexico after it suddenly lost power.

The pilot, along with two crew members and seven passengers, was flying to the Joe Douglas rig Tuesday at about noon when the helicopter shut down.
The pilot managed to deploy the helicopter's floating device and land safely on the water.
Everyone managed to get out safely. No injuries were reported.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
