Officials say this is an increase from the past two years. Five DWI arrests were made in 2013 and four were made in 2012, according to authorities.
Galveston County released a statement that read in part:
"For the nine DWI cases processed through the No Refusal operations, blood samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis at the Department of Public Safety's Crime Lab. Law enforcement agencies from across the County participated in the program."
