Surveillance photos released of shoplifter who cut employee during getaway

Houston police and investigators with Crime Stoppers are searching for a man accused of stealing from a store and cutting a store employee who tried to stop him.

The attack happened at a store in the 12500 block of Westheimer on October 20.

According to police, a man grabbed merchandise and began to walk out of the store, but a loss prevention officer followed him outside.

When the officer tried to stop the shoplifter, the man pulled out a knife and cut the officer.

The suspect then fled the scene in a black 2003 Lincoln Navigator with Texas plates DCX3585. 

The suspect is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 170 pounds and has tattoos on his left arm.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.  Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online.
