HOUSTON – Author, entrepreneur, and Texas Radio Hall of Fame rock radio personality Dayna Steele is running for Congress.
The 57-year-old announced her candidacy for the state's 36th Congressional District on Wednesday morning.

Steele will challenge U.S. Rep. Brian Babin, the two-term Republican incumbent.
Steele, a Democrat and Seabrook resident, has set up a campaign website, citing health care and education as her core platform issues.
This is Steele's first major campaign for public office.
